It usually takes 3-6 working days to get GST registration for your business. If your business is not registered with a GST number, it will get penalized, as a business owner he/she needs to pay a penalty of 100% on the taxable amount. 

 

GST Registration Process:

 

One can do online registration for GST through a portal by the central government of India. Here are the following steps:

  • Log in to GST registration portal.

  • Go to the menu option → Select services and choose registration.

  • Click on “New registration.”

  • You will redirect to a page where you need to select your status. 

  • Select whether you are a GST practitioner or a taxpayer.

  • Fill the form appear on the screen, add all the business details.

  • Submit the form. Get verified through OTP and click on “Proceed.”

  • With this, you will get a temporary reference number for further process.

  • Add that temporary code & captcha code to move further.

  • You will get a new page, add all the other details of your business like a sign, bank account details, etc.

  • Click on save & continue.

  • Add the required documents & fill the bank details.

  • Add digital signature to complete the application process. 

  • Click on “Submit”.

  • Get the 2nd step of verification, where you get a new signin form at the pop-up window.

  • Add the details, and your application will be submitted. The reference number will be sent to your registered email and mobile number.
